THE BEGINNING

CHOCOLATE RUNS THROUGH OUR VEINS.

Cenu Cacao opened its first shop in January 2017 after many years of the founder Rosemary Ndukuba who grew up in a hospitality family have experimented with several flavours and textures.

The first “Bean to Bar” artisan chocolate shop was opened in Regent Street, Royal Leamington Spa, the first of its kind in West Midlands and one of few places in the country where you can see chocolate being made from scratch.

We create micro-batches artisan chocolate in our stone grinders directly from single origin fully certified organic Venezuela and Panama cacao bean.

In UK in particular making ‘Bean to Bar’ chocolate is still a rare occurrence as most chocolate manufacturers or chocolatiers use pre-made cocoa liquor or chocolate couverture.

At Cenu Cacao we control each part and stage of the chocolate making process starting from hand sorting, roasting, cracking, winnowing, grinding to conching and finally ageing the finished chocolates thereby producing unique chocolate that are full of pure flavours that are synonymous to cacao.

As a true artisan and classical chocolate maker, Cenu Cacao uses only organic products and ingredients in our chocolates.

We opened the first shop which is surrounded by large mirrors allowing the general public to experience and watch the team crafting “Bean-to-Bar” chocolate that is crafted using the Aztec method that guarantees a distinctive and unforgettable tasting experience.
